Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage is a three year programme led by Arts & Business Scotland with Archaeology Scotland, Built Environment Forum Scotland, greenspace scotland and Museums Galleries Scotland. The programme is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund Catalyst grants to deliver a capacity building programme for heritage organisations across Scotland. Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage is the first fully co-ordinated sector-specific training and network strengthening programme to provide Scotland’s diverse heritage sector with the vital tools it needs to increase funds from private sources.

The Heritage Lottery Fund Catalyst programme, which includes £8.5million of endowment grants and £3.8million to help build fundraising capacity, is designed to help organisations diversify their income streams, attract significantly more funding by increasing their fundraising potential and help them to develop and explore innovative approaches to securing private donations.

 

The Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage programme provides a hub of ideas, inspiration and practical advice to help you to maximise results from your fundraising for Scotland’s heritage.

A series of training events are taking place throughout Scotland in January - March 2016:

• 20^th January - Planning to Progress: How to develop a fundraising strategy (Dundee)
• 27^th January – In Focus: Legacies (Edinburgh)
• 3^rd February - Make it Happen: Introduction to fundraising from private sources (Peebles)
• 10^th February – Make it Happen: Introduction to fundraising from private sources (Dumfries)
• 17^th February – Planning to Progress: How to develop a fundraising strategy (Perth)
• 25^th February – Crowdfunding for Arts & Heritage Organisations (Edinburgh)
• 2^nd March – Make it Happen:  Introduction to fundraising from private sources (Aberdeen)
• 9^th March – Planning to Progress: How to develop a fundraising strategy (Edinburgh)
• 16^th March – Make it Happen: Introduction to fundraising from private sources (Oban)
• 19^th March – Planning to Progress: How to develop a fundraising strategy (Scottish Borders)
• 23^rd Mach – In Focus: Introduction to Sponsorship (Edinburgh)
